Asa McKee is a skier, fly fisherman, gardener, and father. During the winter months you can find him skiing, and just about any other month on the river fishing. He also finds time to volunteer work with students in the Community Garden at Quest University Canada, while raising his two children with his wife and business partner, Tamar. As an outdoorsman and father, Asa’s growing concern about environmental change compelled him to take a larger step in helping Mother Earth. Thus, Khala Cloths was born.

Tamar McKee is an anthropologist, writer, filmmaker, and mother. During the school year you can find her teaching at Quest University Canada, and in her free time finding adventure and her creative muse along with her two children and Asa. As a mother and professor who passionately teaches about human cultural and environmental impact on the planet, creating Khala Cloths has become yet another way to encourage others to care for Mother Earth by being conscious and conscientious consumers.
